7 Stages of Alzheimer's:
Stage 1: No Cognitive Impairments |

This is when the disease can sometimes be diagnosed. Friends and family may notice this decline. Troubles with memory and concentration will be encountered. New information will be processed slower and with more difficulty.

Stage 4: Moderate Cognitive Decline: |
This is still considered an early stage of Alzheimer's. In this stage all cases can be identified. Knowledge of recent events will be lost. Impairments all around will be experienced. And reduced memory of personal history.

Stage 5: Moderate Severe Cognitive Decline |
At this stage the patient will enter the mid stage of the disease. Now assistance is necessary to live day by day. When asked individuals may be unable to recall important details of their lives(address, numbers and names). The individual may forget the setting frequently and will have trouble with navigation.

Stage 6: Severe Cognitive Decline |
Here the patient enters the severe stages of Alzheimer's. At this stage memory difficulties and personality changes proceed at alarming rates. Individuals will need help with most tasks including, using the bathroom, changing clothing and getting around. Individuals will forget names of children, spouse and caretakers but can distinguish faces.
